Error message:
In the linux machine, creating 8 VFs on XL710 port and passing through 1 VF to VM.
Created 90 VLANs in VM. After creating around 64 VLANs, started facing issue with pinging the VLAN IPs. Also seen the below error in dmesg of host machine:

However, could you provide us the system model detais ( motherboard model name ) and also let us know if this ethernet card was built-in or if it was manually added later?

The maximum VLANs per VF in trusted mode is 64 . The NIC has a maximum of 2048 MAC and VLAN pairs. The user has version version: 2.1.14-k. Can you please confirm if this is correct and applicable for version 1.4.25 also?
It will be really helpful for us, if you can confirm this information for version 1.4.25.

The table displays number of VLANs supported in forwarding table . The number of MAC_VLAN filters that can be added in filter table of NIC is not specified here. Can you please check this?
According to :Re: How many MAC_VLAN filters can be added to a XL710 port - Intel Community , version 1.4.25 has some limitations on number of mac vlan filter pairs and fixed in future version 1.6.8 . Can you please confirm this?
Can you please also let us know if we can add up to 4096 VLANs when using version 1.6.8 ?

2.Number of VLANs supported by a VF on the XL710 NIC card in SR-IOV untrusted mode is 16 in the recent version.

Wanted to confirm my understanding:
1. It is not possible to create 4094 VLANs in a XL710 port with latest i40e driver version available here:Intel® Ethernet Controller XL710-AM1. The maximum VLANs that can be created is 255 on the entire XL710 NIC card in latest i40e driver version.
Is there any other Intel 10G card in which 4094 VLANs can be configured on each port?
